Reina Hispanoamericana 2008 was held on 2008-10-30 at Manzana Uno, at the doors of the Catedral de Santa Cruz, in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia, with 19 candidates. Massiel Taveras of the Dominican Republic crowned Laura Zúñiga of Mexico as the winner; she was later dethroned in December 2008 following an arrest-related scandal. The crown was assumed by Vivian Noronha Cia of Brazil.
