The 18th edition of the Reinado Internacional del Café was held on 1989-01-06 in Manizales, Colombia, with 17 contestants from coffee-producing and exporting countries. At the end of the event, the outgoing queen Márcia Marques de Moura (Brasil), Reina Internacional del Café 1988, crowned Luana Freer Bustamante of Costa Rica as Reina Internacional del Café 1989.
