Nuestra Belleza México 1994 was the inaugural edition of the national pageant, held at the Benito Juárez Auditorium in Zapopan, Jalisco. The semifinal took place on November 12 and the final on November 13, 1994, broadcast live by Canal de las Estrellas and hosted by Raúl Velasco and Liza Echeverría (with Marco Antonio Regil co-hosting during semifinal activities). Thirty-two contestants competed, and Luz María Zetina of Estado de México won the title. She was crowned by Jalisco governor Carlos Rivera Aceves and Miss Universe 1994 Sushmita Sen, with the sash placed by Lupita Jones, Miss Universe 1991 and national director. Zetina later represented Mexico at Miss Universe 1995 in Namibia.
