Hayek Queens

Privacy Policy

How Hayek Queens collects, uses and protects information.

Last updated:

1. Who we are

Hayek Queens ("we", "us") operates hayekqueens.com, a structured database and reference platform about beauty pageants: pageants, editions, contestants, results, organizations and countries. This policy explains what information we handle, why, and the choices you have.

For any privacy request you can write to info@hayekqueens.com.

2. Public pageant records

The core of Hayek Queens is editorial content about public events: pageant editions, official results and the public careers of contestants, professionals and organizations. This information is compiled from publicly available sources such as official pageant communications, press coverage and public social-media profiles, and is published in the public interest of documenting the history of pageantry.

We do not publish private contact details, home addresses or other non-public personal information. If you appear in our database and believe a record is inaccurate or should be removed, contact us (see "Your rights") and we will review the request.

3. Information you send us

When you use the contribution form or write to us by email, we collect what you provide: typically your name, email address, your message and any source links. We use it only to review and act on your submission and to reply to you. Submissions are stored in our content management system and kept for as long as needed to process them and maintain an audit trail of changes to the database.

4. Usage data and analytics

Like most websites, we collect limited technical information to keep the site working and to understand how it is used:

We do not sell personal information and we do not use advertising networks or cross-site tracking.

5. Instagram content

Some pages, including the home page, show recent posts from our own Instagram account, @hayek_queens, retrieved through the official Instagram API. This only reads content we publish ourselves: we do not access, collect or store any data from your Instagram account, and no Instagram login is required or requested on this site.

When you open a post, you leave hayekqueens.com and go to instagram.com, where Meta's terms and privacy policy apply. Profile pages may also link to the public Instagram profiles of contestants and organizations.

6. Cookies

We use only the cookies needed for the analytics described above and, where applicable, to remember basic preferences such as your language. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will keep working.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, to object to its processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

To exercise any of these rights, or to ask about a record in the database, email info@hayekqueens.com from the address you want us to reply to. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity and will respond within the time required by applicable law.

9. Data deletion requests

To request deletion of information you have sent us, or of a database record about you, email info@hayekqueens.com with the subject "Data deletion" and describe what you want removed (for example the URL of the page). We will confirm receipt, process the request and let you know once it is complete.

10. Children

Hayek Queens is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised; significant changes will be announced on the site.

12. Contact
