Nuestra Belleza México 2006 was the 13th edition of the national pageant, held at the Espacio Cultural Metropolitano in Tampico, Tamaulipas, on September 2, 2006, with a semifinal on August 31. Thirty contestants competed; Rosa María Ojeda of Sinaloa won Nuestra Belleza México and later placed in the Top 10 at Miss Universe 2007. Carolina Morán of Colima won the Nuestra Belleza Mundo México 2006 title and later finished as 2nd Runner-up at Miss World 2007. The event was broadcast live on Canal de las Estrellas and hosted by Jacqueline Bracamontes and Juan José Origel.
