The 12th edition of Nuestra Belleza México was held on September 2, 2005 at the Antiguo Taller de Locomotoras in Aguascalientes, Aguascalientes, Mexico. Thirty-three contestants competed. Priscila Perales of Nuevo León won the national title and later placed in the Top 10 at Miss Universe 2006 and became Miss International 2007. Karla Jiménez of Puebla won the Nuestra Belleza Mundo México 2005 title and later placed in the Top 17 at Miss World 2006. The gala was broadcast live on Canal de las Estrellas and featured performances by Reik, Benny Ibarra, Elefante, and Emmanuel. The organization introduced the “Queen of a Million” awards structure, and Blanca Soto received the “Crown to Merit” recognition.
