The 18th edition of Nuestra Belleza México was held at the International Convention Center in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, on August 20, 2011. Thirty-four contestants competed; Karina González of Aguascalientes won and later placed in the Top 10 at Miss Universe 2012. Mariana Berumen of Guanajuato won the Nuestra Belleza Mundo México 2011 title and later placed in the Top 15 at Miss World 2012. The final was broadcast by Canal de las Estrellas in Mexico and Univisión in the U.S. and Latin America, hosted by Jacqueline Bracamontes and Javier Poza with Vielka Valenzuela backstage. A semifinal took place on August 18, hosted by Karin Ontiveros and Jan, with performances by Telefunka; final-night entertainment featured Luis Fonsi, Telefunka, and Joan Sebastián.
