Nuestra Belleza México 2016 was the 22nd edition of the national pageant, held at Televisa San Ángel in Mexico City on January 31, 2016 (with a semifinal on January 29). Twenty-nine contestants competed; Kristal Silva of Tamaulipas won and later placed in the Top 9 at Miss Universe 2016. She was crowned by Wendy Esparza. The separate “Nuestra Belleza Mundo México” final was not held; the organization later confirmed it would no longer send a representative to Miss World. Geraldine Ponce was appointed Nuestra Belleza Internacional México 2016, and Magdalena Chiprés was named Reina Hispanoamericana México 2016.
