Mexicana Universal 2022 was the 4th edition of the Mexicana Universal pageant, held on May 21, 2022 at the Convention Center in San Luis Potosí, Mexico. Thirty contestants from across the Mexican Republic and one from the Mexican community in the United States competed. Irma Miranda of Sonora won and later represented Mexico at Miss Universe 2022 in New Orleans. She was crowned by outgoing Mexicana Universal 2020 Débora Hallal and became the first National Queen to obtain the title on her second attempt. Other titles went to Itzia García of Colima (Mexicana Internacional 2022; Top 7 at Miss International 2023), Verónica Gamboa of Nayarit (Nuestra Latinoamericana Universal México 2022), and Diana Robles of Guanajuato (Mexicana Hispanoamericana 2022; 3rd runner-up at Reina Hispanoamericana 2022). The event reunited Mexico’s three Miss Universe winners—Lupita Jones (1991), Ximena Navarrete (2010), and Andrea Meza (2020)—and was the last edition broadcast by Imagen Televisión.
