Miss France 1996, the 66th edition, took place on 16 December 1995 at the Grand Palais in Lille (Nord-Pas-de-Calais). The ceremony was broadcast live for the first time on TF1 and hosted by Jean-Pierre Foucault, Geneviève de Fontenay and Xavier de Fontenay. Laure Belleville (Miss Pays de Savoie) won the title, succeeding Mélody Vilbert, and later finished 11th at Miss Universe 1996.
