Miss Grand Thailand 2021 was the 9th edition of the national pageant, but it was canceled due to the COVID-19 situation in Thailand. The final had been planned for Show DC Hall, Bangkok, initially targeted for 21 August 2021 and later rescheduled for 11 September. On 2021-09-04, the organization officially appointed Indy Johnson, the 1st runner-up of Miss Grand Thailand 2020, as Miss Grand Thailand 2021 to represent Thailand at Miss Grand International 2021 (held on 4 December 2021 in Phuket). Several provinces had already selected 2021 representatives; they retained their titles to compete in 2022. The appointment took place at PM Center Co., Ltd., Bangkok.
