Miss International 1998, the 38th Miss International pageant, was held at Koseinenkin Hall in Tokyo, Japan on 26 September 1998. Panama's Lía Borrero won the title and was crowned by Consuelo Adler of Venezuela, marking Panama's first win. Forty-three contestants participated, and the event was hosted by Masumi Okada.
