Miss República Dominicana 2000 was held on March 25, 2000, organized by Gatsby Dominicana, with 60 delegates—the largest number in the pageant’s history. The winner represented República Dominicana at Miss Universe 2000, while Miss Mundo Dominicana competed at Miss World 2000 and Miss Internacional Dominicana at Miss International 2000. The first runner-up went to Miss Tropical International 2000 and the second runner-up to the Reinado Internacional del Café 2000. Other semifinalists participated in various international pageants. This edition was the second and last to select a fifteenth finalist in the pageant’s history.
