Miss USA 1964 was the 13th Miss USA pageant, held in Miami Beach, Florida, on July 29, 1964. It was the last Miss USA staged as part of the Miss Universe event. Bobbi Johnson of the District of Columbia won and was crowned by outgoing titleholder Marite Ozers of Illinois. Johnson later placed in the Top 15 at Miss Universe 1964 and became the first woman from Washington, D.C., to win Miss USA. Her reign lasted 10 months and 6 days due to the pageant’s rescheduling as an independent event in 1965.
