Miss USA 1981 was the 30th Miss USA pageant, held May 21, 1981 at the Gulf Coast Convention Center in Biloxi, Mississippi. Jineane Ford of Arizona crowned Kim Seelbrede of Ohio as Miss USA 1981, the state's second title. Seelbrede later competed at Miss Universe 1981 and placed in the semifinals. Fifty contestants from 49 states and the District of Columbia competed. The telecast was hosted by Bob Barker and aired on CBS. This year also saw the first Miss USA runner-up since 1957 slated for Miss World; after Holli Dennis declined, Lisa Moss represented the U.S. and made the finals.
