Sarah-Jane Hutt of the United Kingdom won and was crowned by Mariasela Álvarez of the Dominican Republic; Rocío Isabel Luna (Colombia) was first runner-up and Cátia Pedrosa (Brazil) was second runner-up. The event featured a performance by Leo Sayer and was presented by Peter Marshall and Judith Chalmers.
