Señorita Panamá 1990 was the 8th Señorita Panamá pageant (and the 25th celebration of the Miss Panamá contest), held in August 1990 at the Atlapa Convention Centre in Panama City. This edition marked the debut of the Miss Universe license with RPC Channel 4 and unified the event under the slogan “Three Crowns for Three Beauties,” sending winners to Miss Universe, Miss World, and Miss Hispanidad. About 15 contestants competed. Liz De León (Panamá Centro) won Señorita Panamá (for Miss Universe). Madelaine Leignadier Dawson (Panamá Centro) was crowned Señorita Panamá World, and Ana Lucía Herrera (Panamá Centro) was named Señorita Panamá–Miss Hispanidad. The event followed the U.S. invasion of Panama and preceded the country’s return to Miss Universe after a three-year absence (1988–1990).
