Nuestra Belleza México 2001 was the 8th edition of the national pageant, held at the Aeropuerto Internacional Lic. Adolfo López Mateos in Toluca, Estado de México. The semifinal for Nuestra Belleza Mundo México took place on 2001-09-21 and the final on 2001-09-28, broadcast by Canal de las Estrellas. Forty-seven contestants competed; Ericka Cruz of Yucatán won Nuestra Belleza México and later represented Mexico at Miss Universe 2002 in Puerto Rico, crowned by outgoing queen Jacqueline Bracamontes. Tatiana Rodríguez of Campeche won Nuestra Belleza Mundo México and competed at Miss World 2001 in South Africa. The organization lost the Miss International franchise this year, and for the second consecutive year two separate finals were held.
