Mexicana Universal 2023 was the 5th edition of the Mexicana Universal pageant, held on 2 September 2023 at the Convention and Exhibition Center in Aguascalientes, Mexico. Thirty-two contestants (31 from Mexican states and one from the Mexican community in the United States) competed. Melissa Flores of Michoacán won and later represented Mexico at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador; she was crowned by outgoing titleholder Irma Miranda and became the first woman from Michoacán to compete at Miss Universe. Additional titles went to Valeria Villanueva (Mexicana Internacional 2023), Tania Estrada (Mexicana Charm 2023; later appointed Miss Grand México 2024), Xiadani Saucedo (Mexicana Orb 2023), and Carolina Pérez (Mexicana Hispanoamericana 2023). Following this edition, the organization lost the Miss Universe franchise after 29 years, making Flores the last queen under the Mexicana Universal title.
