Miss Costa Rica 2023, the 68th edition of the national pageant, was held on 2023-08-16 at Marco Picado Studio in San José, Costa Rica, and was broadcast by Teletica. María Fernanda Rodríguez Ávila (Miss Costa Rica 2022) crowned Lisbeth Valverde Brenes of Alajuela as the winner, earning the right to represent Costa Rica at Miss Universe 2023. The edition began with 10 candidates but concluded with 9 after a resignation. It introduced a pre-show, “Miss Costa Rica 2023: The Reality,” and was noted for inclusivity, allowing participation by the first married mother and a short-stature candidate.
