Martine Robine (Miss Normandie 1983) won the title and succeeded Frédérique Leroy; she was crowned by Sarah‑Jane Hutt (Miss World 1983). The evening was hosted by Geneviève and Xavier de Fontenay with Pierre Loctin. The event was not broadcast on television.
